In the frame of WP3 – Omic approaches for improving the tolerance of cereals to drought stress, the INPLANTOMICS team conducted a successful mission at UGent from September 1–5.
This mission had several important outcomes:
1. Advancing research on plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR): Preliminary results showed promising effects of bacterial VOCs on wheat growth.
2. Validation of Deliverable D2.4: Successful report on virus-free micropropagated plants, strengthening expertise in pathogen-free plant production.
3. Preparation of the Summer School in Sfax (October 16–18, 2025): A key event on seed conservation and agrobiodiversity, involving experts from Tunisia and Europe.
4. Future planning: Discussions on upcoming workshops, including CRISPR-Cas and transient gene expression technologies.
